K-Lite codec pack version 14.6.5 is now available for download. It is free and brings minor changes since the previous version. Please note that Windows XP is no longer supported since version 14.0.0. You can download it here.

- Added option for a secondary thumbnail cache. When enabled, this will create an additional cache for thumbnails that functions as a backup for the standard cache from Windows Explorer. This will significantly speed up re-generation of thumbnails when items are removed from the standard cache. That may happen frequently when you have a large number of multimedia files, since the standard cache has a limited size.
