Videos

The plugin combines the site topic, administrator settings, YouTube availability and local recommendations. Blocked, private and non-embeddable videos are excluded.

YouTube searches are refreshed through a quota-aware cache. Locally appreciated videos may remain in the permanent pool while unavailable or moderated videos are removed.

A rating from one to five becomes available after actual playback. A visitor can update a rating, and the previous value is replaced.

No account is required. When tracking is enabled, anonymous activity uses a pseudonymous identifier and no clear IP address is stored.
